Insurance Developer Wanted

We are now looking for an Insurance Developer for a long-term assignment. With us, you will contribute to something greater, ensuring that society functions even when the unexpected happens.

At the Security Unit, part of the Municipal Executive Office, fourteen dedicated colleagues work towards a common goal of making Eskilstuna an even safer place for everyone who lives, works, and operates here. We lead, coordinate, and develop the municipality's work in security and preparedness, with assignments ranging from crime prevention initiatives and safer public environments to security protection, crisis preparedness, and total defense.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an insurance developer, you will have a role with both responsibilities and opportunities. You will work closely with colleagues and operations throughout the municipality to drive development and manage the municipality's insurance processes. You will be responsible for handling insurance cases, such as damages, claims, and preventive risk management. You will also serve as a link between the municipality, insurance companies, and other stakeholders. In this role, you will ensure correct administration and contribute to minimizing the municipality's risks. You will have a coordinating role regarding claims, providing advice on insurance solutions, preparing reports, and ensuring that the insurance process complies with applicable laws and internal guidelines. It is a varied and important role where you work strategically and operationally, and your efforts make a real difference for people, businesses, and the entire municipality.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with an academic degree in areas such as economics, law, political science, or another relevant field, or equivalent work experience. You express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, are a Swedish citizen, and have a B driver's license. Experience in insurance handling, contracts in the field, claims adjustment, or similar roles, preferably in the public sector, is desirable. It is an advantage if you already have experience in investigative work and knowledge in writing reports, instructions, or similar documents. Experience with government investigations and work in politically governed organizations, as well as leading and participating in projects related to preventive damage work, is also positive.

The position is a temporary contract for 18 months with a chance of extension.

The Municipal Executive Office has the corporate responsibility and is tasked with supporting the municipal council in the work of developing Eskilstuna Municipality. We do this by leading, directing, and supporting administrations and companies through dialogue, collaboration, and participation.
