Information about the position

As a group manager in accounting at BDO, you will lead and coach the accounting consultants in their daily work, drive efficiency, and ensure that the right competencies are used correctly to achieve common goals. You will be the hub of the accounting team in Nyköping and lead an engaged team of about 15 people.

The role combines full personnel responsibility with operational work. You will spend about 50% of your time as an accounting consultant and the remaining time developing the team through present, engaged, and solution-oriented leadership. You have the opportunity to influence working methods, structure, and development in line with BDO's strategy, with support from an established leadership network within the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Personnel responsibility for the group through support in work planning, prioritization, and development discussions
• Operational work as an accounting consultant with your own client responsibility
• Ensure the right competencies and balance in the groups and actively work with competence supply
• Drive and own improvement initiatives, work with change management, and actively contribute to business development in line with BDO's strategy
• Collaborate with other group managers and management and participate in regular leadership meetings
• Work closely with colleagues in auditing, payroll, and other service areas

We are looking for someone who has:

• Post-secondary education in economics, preferably a university degree
• At least 5 years of experience in qualified accounting work, preferably from an agency or shared service center
• Previous leadership experience or documented ability and willingness to take clear leadership responsibility, preferably in an agency environment
• Experience working with various accounting systems and good skills in handling the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
