HR Consultants Wanted for Stockholm City

Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone living here today and in the future. We are now looking for someone who wants to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.

Do you thrive in a role with extensive contact areas, are confident in coaching managers, and independently driving personnel issues? Do you have a genuine interest in supporting managers with varying personnel-related questions?

In anticipation of upcoming retirements, we are now seeking two collaborative and driven HR consultants who enjoy being challenged in the role of managerial support.

For the right person, there is a great opportunity to create positive change in the administration's work with, for example, health factors, strategic staffing, and the development and follow-up of key performance indicators.

Do you recognize yourself in the description above? Then you might be the one we are looking for!

Welcome to Us

With us, you will be part of a knowledgeable and engaged workgroup where we have fun together in a sometimes demanding job. We believe that close collaboration and shared learning are the keys to well-being and success at work and therefore ensure that we benefit from each other's experiences and different abilities.

The unit's mission is to provide consultative and qualified support to the administration's managers in all HR areas. We aim to make it easy to do the right thing for both managers and employees. Therefore, in HR, we work closely with operations to create sustainable solutions. The unit is led by a unit manager and consists of seven HR consultants, two communicators, and an archive assistant. A payroll controller is also attached to the department.

HR issues are highly prioritized in the administration, and there is a strong interest and commitment from both management and managers in the organization.

Your Role

As an HR consultant, you work as a generalist and provide qualified support to managers and management teams within one or more operational areas. Managerial support includes, among other things, legal and contractual interpretation, organizational changes, restructuring issues, misconduct, union cooperation and negotiation, and rehabilitation.

Depending on your skills and interests, you also have the opportunity to develop within one or more specialist areas. This entails overall responsibility, such as developing processes, supporting management and colleagues in the area, and following up on issues across the entire administration.

The strength of the HR unit is that we work as a team. You always have knowledgeable colleagues to bounce ideas off but drive and take responsibility for your tasks independently. In this role, you will have the opportunity to continue developing and improving HR support by initiating working methods and approaches that promote our mission and set goals.

What Do We Offer?

With us, you will have the opportunity to join a wonderful workgroup with highly qualified colleagues and close leadership from the unit manager. You will receive a comprehensive introduction to working in Stockholm City and in our administration. We offer wellness benefits, and you have the opportunity to purchase a very favorable annual pass to Stockholm City's swimming halls, including gyms. Additionally, you will receive a flexible working hours agreement and winter and summer working hours, as well as the opportunity for vacation exchange and remote work when the job allows.

We are currently located in pleasant premises near Globen with good communications. In the autumn of 2028, a move of the administrative house to Rågsved is planned.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for someone who is explicitly skilled at establishing trusting relationships, has good collaboration skills, and can convey complex information in an accessible way. You find it easy to handle changing conditions and requirements and have a problem-solving approach. Furthermore, you are persistent and have good experience in supporting and driving complex personnel issues.

To succeed in the role, you need to have:

  • a university degree focused on personnel and labor issues or equivalent education deemed comparable by the employer
  • solid and current experience of having worked in a broad and qualified HR role where you have provided consultative support to managers
  • very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
  • good IT skills and experience working in various personnel systems.

It is advantageous if you have led workshops, conducted training initiatives, or are used to giving presentations. Additionally, experience from General Terms and Conditions (AB) or from elderly care and preschool is meritorious.

Your Application

In this recruitment, we place great importance on personal suitability, which is why psychological tests may be relevant in the process. When you submit your application, you will answer a number of questions that are crucial for our continued selection work for this specific position.

Warm welcome with your application!

Stockholm City works with competence-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's competence and thus counteracting discrimination.

Enskede Årsta Vantör is one of 11 district administrations in Stockholm City. As part of Stockholm City, the administration offers preschool and leisure, care for the elderly and disabled, social services, preventive and safety-enhancing work, urban development, and park maintenance to our 105,000 Stockholmers living in the district. We face exciting challenges as the Enskede Årsta Vantör district grows and entirely new neighborhoods are built. Approximately 18,000 new apartments are planned by 2030.
