Astar Malmö's adult education in the electrical field is in an exciting phase of expansion. Within our current programs and upcoming initiatives, we will train for the labor market's and industry's increasing need for distribution electricians, installation electricians, and industrial electricians. Therefore, we are looking for someone who wants to join our team and contribute to high-quality vocational training so that more professionally proud individuals are equipped for the labor market's needs.

About the role

As a teacher, you will teach both theoretical and practical aspects of electrical engineering and installation. You will be responsible for student administration together with your colleagues. The role also includes procuring APL placements and following up with students during their workplace-based learning (APL). You will also develop and adapt teaching materials to meet students' needs and ensure that the teaching complies with current regulations and guidelines from both the industry and the Swedish National Agency for Education. You will be part of a team, both in Malmö and with colleagues across Sweden. Together, we create an education to be proud of!

We are looking for someone who knows they qualify in several of the areas below

• Have worked with electrical installations and industrial installations for at least 3 years
• Have good knowledge of regulations and guidelines in the electrical field
• Have good material knowledge
• Hold authorization (at least B authorization)
• Have knowledge of PLC programming
• Have knowledge of general automation technology
• Have knowledge in the area of communication (network, signal systems, cable systems)

It is advantageous for the position if you also have

• a degree as a vocational teacher or previous experience in education
• previous experience in work leadership, e.g., APL responsibility, team leader, or similar
