We are looking for an engaged and self-driven person who wants to help run Sommarzonen – a temporary activity area in central Svenljunga where children, youth, and families meet for movement, community, and joy during the summer vacation.

About Sommarzonen

Sommarzonen is a flexible and inclusive meeting place that will be set up with several sports and activity areas, such as:

  • Pickleball court
  • Street basketball court
  • Multisport court the size of a handball court
  • Street chess
  • Outdoor ping pong tables
  • Area for spontaneous training
  • Bicycle pump track

Cultural and creative activities will also be offered, such as painting, reading, and other crafts. Free loan of equipment and activities will be provided in collaboration with associations, businesses, summer workers, and the municipality's activities for children and youth. The goal is to create a safe environment that enhances joy in movement, participation, and belief in the future, as well as increasing youth engagement in community life.

Sommarzonen will be located at Ätrastrand – an area where we aim to contribute to increased safety and positive development through increased adult presence and activity.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As the site manager at Sommarzonen, you will be responsible for the daily operations and staffing of the site. You will create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where children, youth, and families can meet and have fun together. Your work includes lending and maintaining activity materials, and you will have extensive contact with visitors and build good relationships. You will also coordinate guest activities in collaboration with associations, businesses, and municipal staff, while contributing your own ideas and initiatives to develop exciting and meaningful activities during the summer.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has experience working with children and youth and who is comfortable interacting with people. You share our perspective that children and youth are seen in their context, where trust, inclusion, and openness are central. You are creative, self-driven, and responsible.

Experience in sports, interest in physical activity, and broad cultural competence are advantageous. We also value that you enjoy taking initiative and contributing your own ideas to make Sommarzonen even more fun and meaningful.

Requirements

For the role of Site Manager at Sommarzonen, you need to be at least 18 years old and able to work throughout the summer period from week 24 to 32. You should be able to work daytime - Monday to Friday between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM, while some flexibility is required as evening and weekend work may occur.
