The Role of Financial Controller

As a Financial Controller, you will play a central role in ensuring high quality, transparency, and compliance in the financial reporting for the Nordic companies. You will work closely with the Nordic Financial Controller Lead and Nordic CFO and be involved in establishing the new Ice Cream organization.

The role combines classic financial control and accounting with development and improvement work in an environment characterized by change, pace, and business focus. You are expected to take initiative, see the big picture, and drive issues all the way – from analysis to decision and implementation.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate financial reporting for Nordic legal entities, both consolidated and legal

• Be responsible for balance sheet monitoring, working capital, and cash flow reporting

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and legal requirements

• Coordinate and drive internal and external audits in the Nordics

• Drive efficiencies and improvements in financial processes

• Work cross-functionally with internal functions and external partners

• Support the business in matters related to financial risks and internal control

• Contribute financial expertise in a changing and growth-oriented environment

Your Background, Experience, and Skills

We are looking for someone who is analytical and structured, but also enjoys taking initiative, working cross-functionally, and driving things forward with clear ownership.

We prefer that you have:

• A degree in economics, finance, or accounting

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within financial controlling/accounting

• Good knowledge of financial reporting, internal control, and risk management

• Experience working in complex organizations with multiple stakeholders

• The ability to take ownership, drive issues forward, and hold others accountable

• Strong communication skills and experience presenting to senior stakeholders

As a person, you are change-oriented, solution-focused, and have a clear business partner mindset. You thrive in the intersection of details and the big picture, dare to challenge when necessary, are unpretentious, and have a “can-do” attitude.
