Workplace Description

The Child and Student Health Service is a separate unit within Vänersborg Municipality's Department of Education.

Within the unit, approximately 40 employees work, including school social workers, psychologists, special educators responsible for the enrollment process for adapted primary schools, school nurses, doctors, speech therapists, and services focused on collaboration.

We work with a focus on preventive and promotional efforts to create a good environment for students' health, learning, and development. The involvement of the Child and Student Health Service is important regarding general issues about students' working environment and values. The Child and Student Health Service should also support students' development towards the goals of education.

Job Description

We are now looking for an employee with psychosocial and behavioral science competence to work in the central mobile school team of the Student Health Service.

The mobile school team focuses on increasing school attendance, and interventions are made for individual students/groups based on applications from principals. Concrete work is done in collaboration with schools to increase student attendance and thus contribute to improved goal fulfillment and health. The position involves close contact with students, guardians, principals, other school staff, and personnel participating in the school's student health team.

The team is cross-professional and is part of the central student health service's components regarding development, change work, systematic quality work, and collaboration internally and with external parties.

Within your assignment, great flexibility and adaptability are required. You must be able to structure and prioritize your work independently. Collaboration skills are essential, and you need to be proactive and have the ability to make independent decisions.

The mobile school team has weekly team meetings and receives regular external supervision.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker, social educator, or has other education that the employer considers equivalent. We see it as meritorious if you have training in ISAP and rePULSE. It is also meritorious if you have experience working with children and youth.

A valid driver's license (B) is required.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
