Personal Assistant for a 14-Year-Old Boy

About the Assignment:

You will work with a 14-year-old boy who lives at home with his parents and younger siblings and uses a wheelchair. He needs support in his daily life but, like others his age, wants to be listened to, have influence, and do things his way. You will assist with daily tasks such as meals, dressing, transfers, personal hygiene, homework, and cleaning his room, as well as participating in activities that are important to him. You need to be clear, calm, and flexible, understanding when it's time to take the lead and when to step back. The role also includes providing him with space for personal time. During these moments, you have the opportunity to take on more responsibility within the team and gradually develop towards a more leading role, if you are interested.
