Personal assistant needed for a woman in Hässelby Villastad

We are looking for a personal assistant for ”M”, a woman in her 60s, who lives with her husband and cat in Hässelby Villastad.

”M” has a significant mobility impairment and requires assistance around the clock. She communicates using a speech computer and partially with unclear speech, which makes it important that you have very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

Job Responsibilities

As a personal assistant, you will help ”M” with all aspects of her daily life – both planned and unplanned.

The work includes, among other things:

• Personal care (e.g., intimate hygiene, oral care, and dressing)
• Assistance with transfers and daily routines
• Participation in activities, such as vacations and outings (e.g., to Öland)
• Common household chores at home

You will be a very important part of ”M’s” life. We are looking for someone who is:

• Responsible – both in relation to ”M’s” needs and towards your colleagues
• Patient and attentive – you take the time to understand ”M’s” communication and needs
• Empathetic – with the ability to put yourself in others' situations and show respect
• Calm and structured, but also flexible when planning needs to change
• Meticulous and organized in your work approach

It is a great plus if you have a sense of humor and enjoy music.

A driver's license is an advantage, but it is a requirement that you can cycle and swim.

Knowledge of aquarium maintenance is considered a special merit.

Due to the close assistance needs, we are only seeking female candidates.

Employment Type and Working Hours

You will be offered a part-time position, where you will initially work alongside an experienced assistant. After that, you will primarily work as a substitute during illness or other temporary needs.

Shifts primarily occur:

• 22:00-00:00
• 22:00–08:30

The greatest need is for those who can work nights.

It is highly meritorious if you live in or near northwestern Stockholm.

Experience

• At least 5 years of experience as a personal assistant or equivalent
• Personal maturity and life experience are highly valued

Employment conditions according to collective agreement with Kommunal, individual salary setting.

IGS Assistans is a private company with over 25 years of experience in personal assistance. They currently have about 300 employees and are located in bright, fresh office premises near Globen in Stockholm, with space for staff meetings and training.
