The Role of the HR Department

The role of the HR department is to lead, develop, and coordinate employer issues, as well as provide support to managers so they can fulfill their employer responsibilities. The HR department aims to ensure that the operations have good conditions to achieve set goals with satisfied citizens and employees, as well as to strengthen Bodens Municipality’s employer brand. The HR department consists of 23 employees divided into a payroll unit and a personnel unit.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Now that one of our HR consultants is going on parental leave, we want to recruit a temporary replacement who can step in and support the managers of the Municipal Management Administration. This means helping the managers fulfill their responsibilities regarding work environment, rehabilitation, and labor law, as well as working to ensure that Bodens Municipality is an attractive employer. As an HR consultant, you will have support from other employees in the HR department, where there is currently extensive experience regarding both the Municipal Management Administration and all HR processes.

Examples of processes that HR consultants support managers with include: recruitment, rehabilitation, labor law, work environment and health, negotiation, salary review, and salary setting. As an HR consultant, you work closely with the managers and contribute knowledge as well as interpretation of laws, agreements, and guidelines within the personnel area. The job responsibilities also include working with certain personnel administrative tasks. Improvement work within personnel processes is a continuous effort both within specific administration and also municipality-wide.

QUALIFICATIONS

For this role, we are looking for someone who primarily has:

  • A degree in HR/personnel management
  • Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing
  • Good knowledge of MS Office

We also welcome those who are at the beginning of their careers to apply. Perhaps you are graduating in the spring and want to take the chance to try a broad HR role that gives you insight into several areas within HR and personnel issues.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Some years of experience working with personnel issues

As a person, we are looking for someone who easily adapts to new working methods, digital tools, and systems. Your role involves independent work, which means you need to have initiative, be able to plan and prioritize. Your role also involves collaborating with others, which means you need to have the ability to create trusting relationships and contribute your expertise. You see opportunities and dare to try new things.

About the Employment

The position is a temporary replacement during an ongoing parental leave. The plan is for you to start with an introduction and hourly employment during April-May, and then step into the temporary position from mid-August. The temporary position is preliminarily set to last until April/May 2027.
