Participation in one of the information meetings is mandatory to apply for the position. About the Role

We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker or is at the end of their social work education and has completed their practical training (VFU) and has experience in social work with children and youth.

The position involves conducting supportive conversations with children via phone, SMS, and chat. As a substitute, you will work on-site at our office at St: Eriksgatan 113 in Stockholm. We prefer that you have the opportunity to work continuously full-time during the period of weeks 26–33. The position is primarily scheduled for evenings and/or nights. An introduction will take place before these weeks. There is often an opportunity for continued substitute work after the summer.

Work at the National Support Line

Bris National Support Line offers children and young people various forms of qualified adult-led support tailored to each child's needs and circumstances. Our team of counselors works around the clock to provide professional support, according to Bris's methods and views on children, to the children and young people who contact us via chat, SMS, and phone.

Who are we looking for?

  • We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker or is at the end of their social work education and has completed their practical training (VFU).
  • Has experience in supportive work with children and youth.
  • Has the ability to work continuously during the period of weeks 26–33, primarily evenings and/or nights.
  • We conduct support work with a high degree of professionalism and take great responsibility for our role and the support we provide, which likely suits you as well.
  • Has knowledge of child rights work, relevant legislation, and community support functions.
  • Has good self-awareness and collaborates well with colleagues. You are also used to taking responsibility for your work and can independently identify what needs to be done.
  • Our conversations take place via computer and phone, so you express yourself fluently in both speech and writing. Using digital communication channels is uncomplicated for you.
  • Since the work involves evening and/or night shifts, experience with irregular working hours is an advantage.

Important to know about the position:

  • The position is as a substitute.
  • The work is based at Bris headquarters at St: Eriksgatan 113 in Stockholm, so you need to be located in the Stockholm area. No work is performed remotely.
