About Us

The Department for Labor Market, Culture and Leisure is responsible for sports, culture, leisure, libraries, cultural schools, adult education, establishment, events, labor market, and business. The department includes the division for leisure and safety collaboration, which is responsible for Solna's youth centers, leisure guides, and Solna's leisure library.

Q-lans youth center is located in Bergshamra, Solna, and shares facilities with Bergshamraskolan. The youth center is aimed at young people aged 13-16 and is open several evenings a week.

The workplace has a focus on training and health, we have access to training facilities and offer both cardio and strength training. In addition, several activities are offered such as table tennis and billiards, and we also have access to a music studio and two sports halls. In the summer, we paddle canoes or SUP boards, so you need to be able to swim.

What Does the Job Involve?

You will work as a leisure leader in open activities, and your working hours will primarily be in the evenings and on weekends. You will create activities/projects in collaboration with young people. Furthermore, you will work with outreach activities, especially towards schools. You will also collaborate with other actors, such as other leisure facilities in Solna, associations, and organizations. As a leisure leader, you create meaningful leisure time together with young people and have the ability to see potential in all youth and believe in their process. You will also run café operations.

The position includes work every other weekend and evening work, that is, Friday evening and Saturday evening.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for someone who has/is:

• trained as a leisure leader or has another pedagogical education
• experience working with young people and creating activities together with them
• experience leading groups of young people
• able to swim
• basic physical ability.

We consider it an advantage if you have:

• knowledge of health and fitness
• interest and knowledge of gaming.

We are looking for someone who has the ability to build good relationships with young people and is good at collaborating. As a person, you are creative and solution-oriented. You are driven and enjoy achieving common goals, and you plan and organize your work efficiently.

As a leisure leader with us, you will lead and coach young people and be a reliable role model.

The position is a temporary position at 75% with immediate start, running until 31/1 2027 with the possibility of extension.
