With the new Social Services Act and to increase accessibility for our residents, the reception will undergo a transformation to include preliminary assessments for all children and adults and become a joint reception for the entire administration. This will be an exciting change!

The assignment

We have begun the work on how the joint reception will look to provide the best service to our residents. You who come to us will be part of the change, and we hope you have experience working with authority exercises regarding different target groups. The plan is for the new reception to start in the spring of 2026.

The unit's responsibility for children/youth includes:

  • Receiving reports of concern and applications, making preliminary assessments, and making decisions in cases where children may need protection or support, with the support of BBIC and Signs of Safety.
  • Representing the reception unit in collaboration with other actors.
  • Collaborating with other units within the administration, such as investigations and outpatient care.

The unit's responsibility for adults includes:

  • Receiving applications, making preliminary assessments, and making decisions regarding adults concerning finances, harmful use, and victimization.
  • Representing the reception unit in collaboration with other actors.
  • Collaborating with other units within the administration, such as investigations and outpatient care.

What you need to bring

Requirements

  • Degree in Social Work.
  • Experience in handling cases involving children and youth according to SoL and LVU.
  • Driver's license (B).

Meritorious

  • Previous experience in authority exercises within social services.
  • Training in BBIC and Signs of Safety.
  • Training in domestic violence.
  • Work with other target groups within authority exercises.
  • Knowledge and experience regarding the victimization of children, youth, and adults.
  • Knowledge and experience of risk assessment instruments such as FREDA, SARA, PATRIARK, or SAM.
  • Other relevant experience that can help you perform fair, empathetic, and good social work.
  • You take initiative and see opportunities.
  • You express yourself well in speech and writing.
  • If you speak multiple languages and have experience from various cultures, it is a plus.
