The Social Administration in the City of Stockholm has a comprehensive and coordinating role for social services' individual and family care and the area of disabilities. Here, good conditions are created to meet residents in need of social services support. In close collaboration with the district administrations, we contribute to a modern, digital, legally secure, equal, and knowledge-based social service, and we have a strong focus on development. Within the administration, a wide range of support measures are offered to the city's residents, and the offerings change based on the needs of Stockholmers and the wishes of the district administrations. The work often takes place in close cooperation with other authorities, civil society, and the business community. The Social Administration is also responsible for the city's serving and tobacco permits and conducts supervision.

The short-term home Drömmen is located in Hagsätra and is aimed at adolescents and adults aged 12 and up with intellectual disabilities and/or autism, who are entitled to short-term stays outside their own home according to LSS.
Many of our support users have extensive functional variations and significant needs for your support. Our operations are cross-municipal.

Your role
As a support assistant, you enable users with functional variations to develop and have a meaningful existence. Your tasks include providing support and good care in all everyday situations. The individual needs of the support users are always the starting point in the work, and an important part is to stimulate and motivate the user to do as much as possible by themselves and to develop their abilities. The tasks involve everything from supporting individuals with medication, personal hygiene, meals to support in fun leisure activities and social interactions, etc. It is of great importance to safeguard the individual's participation and influence. We work purposefully based on individual implementation plans. Documentation and follow-up are included in your tasks. You will be a contact person, which includes contact with relatives. You will receive support and guidance on issues related to approach, methods, documentation, and routines for the operations. Your competence and experience
Requirements for the position
• Meet the requirements to work as a support assistant, which means: completed upper secondary program in Child and Recreation with a focus on social work or pedagogical work, alternatively the Health and Care program with specialization in the program deepening disability. (According to the upper secondary programs GY2011). Or alternative education with a focus on disabilities that is assessed as equivalent.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in similar work in LSS operations.
• Knowledge and experience in low-arousal approach
• Experience in structured development work with clarifying pedagogy
• Knowledge and experience of working with challenging behavior
• Knowledge and experience of alternative communication, such as sign language support, social stories, and social narratives
• Fluent language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written
• Good computer skills and in the Microsoft Office package
• Experience in record-keeping
Merits
• Further education in the field of disabilities, such as KY education
• Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum
• Knowledge of the journal system Platina
As a person, you have good collaboration skills and are stable and work towards set goals. You need to be communicative and clear in your body language, calm, and persistent. You need to be flexible to quickly adapt and prioritize work according to the needs of the operations. You need to be in good physical condition as the work often requires it. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
