Welcome to us at the Department of Individual and Family Care! We are now looking for a colleague who wants to join us on our journey to develop the future of social services for children and youth.

We are looking for someone who is attentive, unpretentious, and wants to help people in their various life situations.

Since the beginning of the year, we have made a change within the organization. We are now a dedicated unit for children and youth.

Within the children and youth unit, 10 employees work. We have a reception function that receives all incoming reports of concern and handles them. In the reception, two social workers are employed. We also have a placement group where two social workers work with children placed outside their own homes and two foster care social workers who work with our contractors. In the investigation work with children and youth and their families, three social workers are involved, and this is where we are looking for our new colleague.

Our unit also includes open care for children and youth, with four family therapists. We collaborate closely on our cases to provide the best support for our families. We are in a developing phase of our work to further adapt to the new social services act. This is a perfect opportunity to join the workgroup and be involved in our future efforts.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a social worker and colleague interested in working with change processes for a broad target group and who wants to help develop the future of social services for children and youth and their families. You will meet individuals in various life situations.

The assignment involves supporting children and youth and their parents and investigating and assessing the need for various interventions. We place great emphasis on change processes and always strive to focus on what works for each individual, ensuring that everyone receives individually tailored support and enabling children and youth to remain in their own homes as much as possible.

We use the Signs of Safety method in our investigative work. In the fall, all staff will undergo basic training so that we are all on the same foundation in our future work.

Collaboration with various actors, both internally and externally, is a natural part of the work. You will also need to stay updated in the field and the legal situation together with your colleagues.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work.

Previous experience in public authority work is advantageous but not a requirement. If you are newly graduated, we offer a special introductory program to support your entry into the profession. The introductory program lasts for 12 months, during which you will have support from your supervisor/mentor and regular check-ins with me as your manager.

Great importance is placed on personal suitability, and your Swedish language skills must be good in both spoken and written form. The job requires good documentation skills. You should have a good ability to collaborate with both colleagues and the organization’s partners. Good communication and unpretentiousness are crucial for us to succeed together in our mission. You should be well acquainted with legislation and regulations within social child welfare. Experience working with BBIC and Signs of Safety is an advantage.

A valid driver's license is required.
