I am looking for someone who wants to work as a personal assistant for me, a woman in her mid-30s living in her own home. I am blind, have a mild hearing impairment, and have an intellectual disability.

It is an advantage if you have previously met people with communication difficulties, but it is not a requirement. The most important thing is your commitment and that you have a genuine interest in contributing to my quality of life.

We will get along well if you also have a sense of humor and enjoy doing fun activities, as I like to be active. You will accompany me in daily activities as well as all my leisure activities and help me manage my home and personal hygiene.

As a person, I see that you are cheerful and positive, calm, attentive, and responsible. You should be non-smoker and have a driver's license.

The position includes day and night shifts with sleeping on-call. A large part of the work is done together with my other assistants (both male and female) since double assistance occurs during the day and evening.

There is some flexibility in terms of desired working hours. The job starts on July 1, but we are eager to find the right person for the right place, so the start date can be discussed and possibly earlier. The position starts as a temporary position but can transition to a fixed-term employment as long as the assignment lasts without a set end date.

SkaraborgsAssistans is a user cooperative owned and operated by the members themselves, entirely without profit interest. We currently have 47 members with about 300 personal assistants, and we are our own supervisors for our assistants while SkaraborgsAssistans has the employer and work environment responsibility. As an employed personal assistant with us, you are covered by a collective agreement and pension agreement. You are insured on and to/from work in case of any unforeseen events. We offer wellness grants to all our employees.
