Preschool Assistant Wanted at Lyckans Preschool in Kristianstad

Lyckans Preschool is located in central Kristianstad, close to natural areas and playgrounds. At Lyckans Preschool, we incorporate movement spontaneously into our daily routines, planned activities, and various locations. Every day, we spend time outside in our beautiful yard that inspires movement, and we often take excursions to utilize the hilly terrain of nature and the wonderful environment of the forest for physical activity. Right next to the preschool, we have a movement room that we use frequently, and one to two times a week, the oldest children at the preschool engage in movement activities at Friskis and Svettis in the city.

We are now looking for a preschool assistant for a temporary position, the role is 80%.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who wants to step into our operation and cover for one of our employees who is on parental leave.

It is important to us that you feel curiosity about your role and that you focus on the children's right to a wonderful, fun, safe, and educational childhood. A day at the preschool is filled with various interactions between children and educators, and we believe that each interaction is significant and part of the child's safety, development, and learning.

Perhaps you have a phenomenal ability to see and support children in skill training that occurs in all routine situations? Are you particularly passionate about any of the curriculum's subject areas or have you found ways to facilitate learning through various forms of creativity? In any case, we believe that you help children feel joy in making progress and overcoming difficulties. Together!

To apply for this position, you need to:

• have a preschool assistant degree or equivalent extensive experience working in a child group in preschool
• have experience working in preschool (beyond APL/practice)
• have knowledge of and be familiar with the preschool curriculum
• be curious and willing to engage with children in shared learning and exploration
• focus on the children and take responsibility in all aspects of the preschool assistant's role
• have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written

It is an advantage if you also:

• have experience conducting structured conversations with guardians regarding the child's abilities and development (development talks)

Employment Form

The position is a temporary role starting in March and currently lasting until summer, with the possibility of extension. Scope 80% The position is located at Lyckan in Kristianstad.
