What does the job of a support pedagogue at Frösunda entail?

Description of the position as a support pedagogue

The role of the support pedagogue is to provide support and guidance to the residents based on a pedagogical approach and to enable the user to live as independently as possible, with the greatest possible self-determination. As a support pedagogue, you have an extended responsibility for the pedagogical aspects such as methods, implementation plans, action plans, and/or other descriptions that are important for the individual.

The role includes developing routines and guidelines to create a clear concept for support and guidance to help users achieve a more independent life. The working methods should be clarified in each user's implementation plan so that goals and goal fulfillment can be followed. The role of the support pedagogue also includes monitoring methods, aids, and following the development of welfare technology for the target group and working with LSS-related issues.

Examples of common tasks

• Support during meals, social activities
• Responsible for mapping the client's abilities
• Establish implementation plans
• Personal care such as hygiene, toilet visits, support, social presence
• Participate in the local management group
• Supervise staff
