JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a unit manager within the functional support and home care business area. The unit manager is responsible for a total of three units, one of which is daily activities, one short-term supervision, and one short-term accommodation. You will also supervise the person responsible for the assignments, i.e., contact person, escort, and respite service. The challenge is that the responsibility includes several different parts, but at the same time, there are relatively few employees: a total of about 18 employees.

As a unit manager, you are responsible for leading the operations in close collaboration with your managerial colleague for daily activities. You are of course responsible for employees, finances, and quality. We are on an exciting development journey both within Daily Activities and in the children's and youth activities where we are moving towards better matching participants' abilities for employment and more towards a work-like environment. In 2024, a short-term accommodation was started in Höganäs, which strives to be the obvious choice for families needing support in everyday life. The assignments are characterized by collaboration with both companies, other municipal operations, and schools. This means a unique opportunity to develop both parts.

You will be part of the management team for the Functional Support and Home Care Business Area, and together with other unit managers and the business area manager, we work in a long-term and creative way to achieve the goals of the operations. QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with several years of documented experience working as a manager in the functional support area, as this is crucial for obtaining approval from the Health and Social Care Inspectorate.

You have a relevant university degree, for example, as a social worker, human resources specialist, or in health and medical care, or another equivalent degree at the university level that the employer (and IVO) deems appropriate.

You drive both your own and shared goals forward while collaborating well with colleagues, employees, and especially those affected by our support. You should have the ability to inspire, motivate, and lead employees to dare to try new working methods, while being attentive, building trust, and maintaining good relationships. The managerial role is based on trust, and that is your primary tool for success.

For successful leadership here in Höganäs, respect, humility, and joy at work are also required. Sometimes a so-called "what-the-hell" issue arises, and we expect you to contribute to solving it even if it is not directly your task. You see digital and smart solutions as obvious tools for achieving goals. You stay updated on the outside world and are inspired by others' successes, which motivates you to try new solutions.
