We are looking for a secure and stable substitute who is passionate about providing children and young people with a meaningful and empowering leisure time.

Together with three colleagues, you will plan, organize, and carry out leisure activities for and with children and young people. The work involves both day and evening hours, and you need to be willing to work Friday evenings. The position is a temporary substitute with a start date as soon as possible until 2025-03-05. The work is based at our open youth center at Mötesplats Ljungdala.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with experience working socially with children and young people, and it is an advantage to have qualifications such as leisure leader, social pedagogue, teacher, or social worker. As a person, you are stable and good at building and developing collaborative relationships. You are a creative person who likes to take your own initiatives. In addition, you are driven and engaged in your work.

About us

The Culture and Leisure Administration consists of approximately 110 employees and is placed under the Culture and Leisure Committee. The administration works for equality, gender equality, participation, and social inclusion by offering residents a rich cultural and leisure offering that is attractive and of high quality. Culture and leisure activities are innovative, mobile, inclusive, and attractive. The activities should be accessible to all, and human rights should be the foundation. Here, we are an important piece of the puzzle in promoting a good living environment and security throughout life.

The areas of activity of the Culture and Leisure Administration include, among others, the Cultural Center, libraries, Hovdala Castle, general culture, children and young people, swimming facilities, sports and leisure activities, as well as outdoor facilities and outdoor tourism.

Young Leisure is a unit within the Culture and Leisure Administration where the youth center activities are included. The youth centers cater to young people aged 10-19 years, and various events and activities are created here both during the day and in the evenings.
