Summer Temporary Position as Treatment Assistant at SiS
The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care (SiS) is an authority responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse. SiS also implements secure youth care. We do this in youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse across the country. At SiS, your work life will be an exciting challenge. SiS Youth Home Råby receives both girls and boys. We have both closed and open placements for secure youth care as well as treatment places for youth placed under the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU).
Job Description
Take the opportunity to try an interesting summer temporary position as a treatment assistant at SiS.
The goal of your assignment is to motivate our youth to new and less risky ways of living. As a treatment assistant, you will help ensure that the routines on the department function as they should. You play a significant role in the stability and safety of our youth and provide the foundation for daily life, including schooling, cleaning, cooking, and more. You contribute to maintaining safety in the institution according to our routines. Documentation is an important part of your work. You will work on building good treatment relationships and contribute to ensuring that our youth receive the security and safety they need to break ingrained behaviors. Together with your team of dedicated colleagues, such as treatment pedagogues and treatment coordinators, you have the opportunity to achieve good results and contribute to change. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.
The working hours are according to a schedule of day - evening and weekend shifts.
As a summer temporary employee at SiS, you will undergo a tailored introductory training to prepare you for your assignment.
Qualifications
You should have:
- Completed upper secondary education
- Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, e.g., work in psychiatry or LSS care
- Driver's license B
- Good Swedish language skills in both spoken and written form

Equally important is that you have a solid positive view of humanity, great empathy, and the ability to establish good treatment relationships. You have good communication skills and can maintain your calm even in pressured situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and are happy to share your knowledge with colleagues.

Summer Bonus
During 2025, as a summer temporary employee, you have the opportunity to receive a summer bonus if you work full-time for more than 4 weeks. To qualify for the summer bonus, you must first complete 4 full weeks of work and can thereafter receive a bonus of 2500 SEK for each completed week, starting from week 5 and onwards (within Råby's vacation periods weeks 24-35). The bonus is proportional to the amount of work, and deductions will be made for absence.
Employment
The position is a fixed-term employment during the vacation period starting from week 24.
