Bergsnässkolan is the small school in central Avesta. Currently, about 240 students attend the school. The size of the school is one of our many strengths! All of the school's teachers and students work closely together, and we cherish our good quality of education combined with high safety and well-being.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Bergsnässkolan is investing in a 2-teacher system! This means the possibility of having more teachers in the classrooms or working with smaller groups of students. Therefore, we are now looking for teachers with qualifications in core subjects to further increase our teacher density starting in autumn 2025!

You will be part of the initiative to increase teacher density. In collaboration with your colleagues, the work will be organized. This creates the opportunity to have two teachers in the classroom or to share student groups, thus enabling work with smaller groups.

You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching in the middle school in collaboration with your teaching colleagues, in accordance with Lgr22 and other governing documents. Depending on your qualifications, the subjects you teach may vary. We are looking for someone qualified in Swedish, Mathematics, or English.

An important part of the work is to systematically follow the students' knowledge development. You will work according to current routines for individual development plans and written assessments.

You strive to create a classroom situation where all students can succeed based on their conditions. In consultation with the student health team, you also work to ensure that relevant measures are taken for students in need of additional support.

You are also responsible for having a good overview and care for your students' school day and social situation as a whole, which may involve contact with other authorities and agencies.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a teaching license and qualifications to teach in middle school. You are qualified in Swedish, Mathematics, or English.

You have the ability to lead and motivate students and create a safe and educational classroom situation, with engaged and participatory students. Your leadership is characterized by clarity and structure. For the work to be successful, you need to have good collaboration skills and be relationship-building, as good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues are fundamental to the work.

You need to have the ability to adapt your teaching based on results, evaluations, and the individual student's needs. To achieve this, you need to have a good understanding of how different students absorb knowledge and the ability to adapt your teaching style at both group and individual levels.

The tasks of a teacher require you to possess personal maturity and the ability to distinguish between the personal and professional. You also need to be stable and controlled in stressful or pressured situations, as well as flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances.

You understand the importance of working towards the school's overall goals and following established routines, guidelines, and decisions, and you work loyally for the best interests of the organization.
