Your workplace

At Torsby Hospital (https://www.regionvarmland.se/regionvarmland/halsa--vard/kontakt-med-varden/sjukhuset-torsby), there are two care departments and one elective department. We have a close collaboration and work as needed in both departments based on one. The hospital is clinic-less, so you will gain broad knowledge within patient care.

Ward 64 specializes in orthopedics, and we also have patients with surgical and medical care needs. On the wards, we work in teams around the patients. Ward 64 has 21 care places.

The sense of community is always present at Torsby Hospital, and all units play a central role in the work with and around our patients. We are a small hospital in northern Värmland with a big heart and commitment to our patients and employees, where all units and partners are highlighted as an important part of the hub for smooth and safe operations for those who visit us. Good collaboration between units, short decision-making paths, and close contact with the management team are characteristics of us.

At the hospital, we care about the health and well-being of our staff, and we have access to our own staff gym and a personal trainer. In your work on the ward, you will be part of the hospital's new transition to a resource-efficient organization where the work environment of healthcare personnel is the focus.

Your tasks

On ward 64, nurses work in teams together with two nursing assistants. There are three teams working with the patients. As a nurse, you will be responsible for, among other things, rounds, medication management, nursing work, and various medical technical procedures.

Your skills and competencies

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. For you, it is important to meet people in a friendly and respectful manner, which makes you both empathetic and service-oriented. You are structured and solution-focused. In addition, you easily adapt to changing circumstances, collaborate in teams, but also work independently.
