Your Workplace

The Primary Care Dietitian Clinic consists of eleven dietitians and two administrative staff, along with our unit manager who is also a trained dietitian. Referrals mainly come from the county's health centers, and the dietitians are physically present at some of these to be close to patients and other staff. In addition to the unit's close internal collaboration, you will also have a natural place in the workgroup at Torsby Health Center, where you will have your physical workplace.

In addition to working with the patient groups from the health centers, we have several exciting collaborations with other units within the region. Together with maternal care, all dietitians work with the LEVA method. Individual dietitians work on meal projects within forensic psychiatry and at our primary care departments (NÄVA) in Säffle and Kristinehamn. Having different branches based on our core mission is encouraged and creates opportunities for career development, enriches our workplace with new perspectives, and provides further variation in the work.

Your Responsibilities

As a dietitian at the primary care dietitian clinic, you will work with individual nutritional treatment according to the Nutritional Care Process (NCP) with adults aged 18 and older. Common diagnoses we encounter include malnutrition, type 2 diabetes, IBS, and obesity. We also offer the LEVA method, a weight loss method for postpartum women. The treatment has a specific setup where physical visits are mixed with close digital contact in the Support and Treatment Platform.

You have the freedom to structure your schedule for your workday and vary between physical visits, digital visits, and group visits. We prioritize the physical meeting with both patients and other colleagues, but there is an opportunity for 20% remote work.
