We are looking for a psychologist who wants to help us provide and create the best possible care for children and youth with mental health issues.

Your Workplace

Första linjen unga is part of the area of operations for Children, Youth and Family Health. The service operates throughout Värmland and consists, in addition to Första linjen unga, of family centers, midwifery clinics, child health centers, youth clinics, the speech therapy unit, and child and family support as well as treatment and counseling clinics. Together, we provide health care to children, youth, and their families in Värmland with a focus on preventive health care. Första linjen unga is a service aimed at children and youth aged 6–20 years and their relatives – with mild mental health issues.

Första linjen unga should be able to identify various dilemmas and understand that mental health issues, factors – such as psychoeducational, medical, and social – and school situations affect each other. We believe it is important that the staff in the organization has a broad competence, and our team therefore consists of a multidisciplinary team. Within Första linjen unga östra, psychologists, social workers, and administrative staff work together. We collaborate both internally and externally to provide the best possible support to those we serve.

Your Responsibilities

As a psychologist, you will be responsible for assessments of mental health issues as well as planning, implementing, and following up on psychological treatment. An important task is to coordinate care and other interventions around the target group.

The work is carried out independently, with guidance and administrative support offered as assistance in the individual work.

Our goal is to have high accessibility and to be able to curb and ideally prevent mental health issues with short interventions. We offer you methodological guidance through the organization's operational support, whose role is to assist in the important work with patients.

We operate in Filipstad, Storfors, and Kristinehamn, but digital contacts are also offered. You will be based in Kristinehamn, but travel to other clinics is included in the position, therefore a B driver's license is required.

Your Skills and Competencies

You are a licensed psychologist with an interest in and experience in the field. The work requires the ability to assess mental health issues and based on that plan and initiate support, coordination, and psychological treatment.

You have experience working in health care in an independent capacity and are accustomed to analyzing, documenting, and conveying descriptions of psychological conditions in speech and writing. Great emphasis is placed on the ability to take independent responsibility in the work. We want you, in addition to your psychological competence, to contribute with joy at work and take responsibility for both patients and colleagues as well as the organization. Of course, you have a norm-critical approach in your work.
