Your Workplace

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is the region's specialist resource for children and adolescents with moderate to severe mental health issues and neuropsychiatric disabilities.

Together with other actors in the region, we have the mission to offer equitable, needs-based, and cost-effective care for children and young people and their families.

Collaboration with families and other stakeholders such as schools and social services is a significant and important part of our work. The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is a large workplace with approximately 200 employees from various professional backgrounds. We work in interdisciplinary teams and share responsibility for the patients belonging to the team. The patient is always our primary focus.

We are expanding the Entrance Reception with an additional psychologist. Depending on experience, background, and interest, the position can be shaped to meet both the psychologist's and the organization's needs. You will be an important part of a team where various professionals, such as social workers, nurses, doctors, and administrative staff, work closely together to create the best possible care.

Your Responsibilities

As a psychologist at the Entrance Reception, you are a crucial part of the work we do here. You are expected to work both closely with patients and consultatively with colleagues and partners. The patient-centered work is conducted both individually and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary manner.

You will meet children and adolescents, their guardians, and other important individuals, and be responsible for conducting psychological assessments and investigations. In the consultative role, you contribute the psychological perspective and specific expertise in individual patient cases as well as in overarching method development.

Collaboration is an essential part of our mission, and as a psychologist, you are an important link in knowledge development. Psychologists have regular professional meetings and collaboration meetings to support each other, further develop their skills, and, if necessary, directly collaborate with other psychologist colleagues employed at different clinics within Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Your Skills and Competencies

We are looking for a licensed psychologist who wants to use your expertise to make a difference in the lives of children and adolescents. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.

To thrive and succeed in the role, we see that you have good collaboration skills and enjoy working in teams, are attentive, and communicate clearly. You value collaboration with colleagues, families, and other stakeholders such as schools and social services. You are confident in your professional role and take responsibility for your tasks, are self-driven, and have the ability to make decisions even in pressured situations. You are also accustomed to prioritizing and adapting to changing circumstances.

Through your ability to build trust, you meet children, adolescents, and their guardians with respect and warmth. You build relationships that enable accurate assessments and meaningful interventions.

Experience working in child and adolescent psychiatry or similar fields is advantageous but not a requirement.
