Your Workplace

The hospital in Torsby is a pleasant workplace that offers several advantages, including proximity, short decision-making paths, efficiency, accessibility, and quality. The hospital has a clinic-based organization with three wards. Patients with internal medical conditions can be treated in all wards.

The hospital also has outpatient services in cardiology, rheumatology, neurology, gastroenterology, and endocrinology. A mobile team is also available. We have a well-functioning operating department and intensive care/recovery as well as an emergency department. Furthermore, there is an on-call line for medicine and a surgical/orthopedic on-call line.

Your Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment where you meet acutely ill patients with a wide range of internal medical conditions in the emergency department.

As a junior doctor with us, you will play an important role in the daily work of the emergency department.

You will, among other things:

• Assess, investigate, and treat acutely ill patients within internal medicine.
• Perform standard tasks for junior doctors in an emergency care environment.
• Work with your own medical responsibility, with always available guidance and support from senior colleagues.
• Be an active part of the team together with nurses and nursing assistants.

The position is scheduled and includes work during the day, evenings, nights, and weekends.

For us, it is important that you have a valuable role in our workgroup. You should enjoy handling acutely ill patients with a wide range of internal medical conditions.

Your Skills and Competencies

We are looking for a licensed doctor with an interest in acute internal medicine who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You master the Swedish language at a C1 level. You take responsibility, are confident in your professional role, and have the ability to make decisions under pressure. You have a good demeanor and consider collaboration to be an essential part of the job. Previous experience as a junior doctor and experience working in an emergency department with on-call duties is an advantage.

We place great importance on your personal qualities such as good collaboration skills, professional demeanor, flexibility, and solution-oriented approach. You take initiative and are eager to develop, contributing to a positive work climate through structure, communication, and team spirit.
