Senior Business Controller for Bank in Stockholm

We are now looking for an experienced Business Controller for an exciting consulting assignment with our client in Stockholm.

About the consulting assignment:

• Scope: Full-time 100%

• Period: March 16, 2026 – August 31, 2026

• Location: Stockholm

The assignment begins with ensuring continuity during a parental leave and requires high independence and solid experience in Business Control in a banking or financial environment, with a particular focus on follow-up, analysis, and improvement work.

Your main responsibilities:

• Work with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

• Ensure accurate and relevant financial reporting to management and operations

• Analyze results, deviations, and key figures

• Follow up on costs, budgets, and forecasts

• Manage and follow up on supplier invoices

• Act as advisory support to the business in financial matters

• Contribute to the improvement and development of financial processes and routines

• Participate in development initiatives and certain requirements related to systems and processes

The role is part of the Finance & Economics team, which consists of four employees and a manager, and involves close collaboration with both operations and the group.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a relevant university degree in economics, finance, or equivalent.

• Has at least 5 years of experience as a Business Controller in a bank or financial company

• Has documented experience in contributing to the improvement and development of financial processes and routines

• Has experience in lending and leasing operations

• Has very good system skills in Cognos Controller, Planning Analytics, Medius, and E1

• Experience with analytical tools and interest in data-driven approaches is an advantage

• Is a driven, solution-oriented, and positive team player
