Job responsibilities
We offer an exciting and developing role with significant personal responsibility. The position of investigator is located in the central administrative unit of the education department. The unit works with central administrative processes that support core activities in the education sector. The goal of the unit is to achieve the best possible effect in the administrative processes to provide adequate support to the education department's areas of operation and contribute to meeting established goals.
The tasks are varied with significant personal influence and responsibility. Together with us, you have the opportunity to participate and influence your work with a focus on good service and by finding smart and new creative solutions to our challenges, creating the greatest possible benefit for the residents of Ale.
The tasks are diverse and multifaceted and mainly include:
- Investigating and preparing cases for the education committee and the education department
- Ensuring that the education department's decisions and assessments are legally secure
- Supporting the education department in handling complaints and harassment investigations
- Collaborating with other departments and relevant external actors
- Conducting monitoring of current and upcoming legislation
- Preparing and processing materials for, for example, the School Inspectorate
- Revising or developing guidelines, routines, and working on internal control
Qualifications
You have a university degree of at least 180 credits with a focus on public administration or law, or another university education that the employer deems equivalent. You have at least two years of experience in qualified work within municipal education administration and experience in digitizing educational administrative processes. Furthermore, you have good competence in information security and handling personal data.
You have a good understanding of how modern digital tools and AI-based methods can be used for analysis, information gathering, and the preparation of decision-making materials. You are curious about the possibilities of technology, see how it can develop work processes, and have the ability to use AI in a responsible, ethical, and effective manner within the processes of an education administration.
You have extensive experience in revising delegation orders and information management plans as well as preparing cases for committees. You have worked in the education sector and have a very good knowledge of school legislation and other relevant municipal legislation. The position also requires documented experience in investigating complaints and harassment according to the Education Act.
To succeed in the role, you have excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing. You can create pedagogically clear materials with good linguistic quality and thoughtful layout. You work independently but also have good collaboration skills. You are judicious, confident in professional assessments, and meticulous and structured. You are used to handling complex and time-critical assignments.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
