Recruitment Process

The position of extra prosecutor is a special fixed-term employment or a merit-based employment of at least twelve months, before you can be granted exemption to become permanently employed as a chamber prosecutor.

Before offering employment, the Prosecution Authority may conduct a background check in the suspect register and criminal record. The background check is conducted on the final candidate.

Tests may occur in the recruitment process.

If the applicant who receives the assignment holds a position at the Economic Crime Authority or within the Swedish courts, a collective agreement fixed-term employment (so-called merit-based employment) will apply.
