About the position
In your professional role, you will work with both individual students and groups of students. In your work, you will contribute to realizing the goals and intentions of the curriculum in the operations. Together with the team, you will plan, implement, and document the educational work in the adapted primary school and after-school care. You will have close collaboration with teachers and other student assistants.
Examples of tasks:
- be responsible for supporting students based on individually set goals and plans
- assist students with special needs so they can participate in school education
- interact with students, guardians, teachers, and other partners around the students
- resolve arising situations
- work with students' influence
- support students' social development and upbringing
- be familiar with and follow the operations regarding laws, policies, and routines
- work and document in the existing operational systems
About the workplace
Drakenbergsskolan is located in the residential area of Sörby, near Örebro University. The school has about 300 students from preschool to grade 6.

Qualifications
To succeed in this position, it is important that you find it interesting to meet different types of individuals and that you thrive in a flexible work situation. Of course, you have a positive view of students and a genuine interest in working with our children and youth. The position requires the ability to communicate and collaborate with children/youth, staff, and guardians.
Requirements:
- experience working with individuals with neuropsychiatric disabilities
Desirable:
- experience working with students with language disorders
- experience leading student groups in school and after-school care
- experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities
