Matildelund Preschool is located in the northern part of Kumla. The preschool is adjacent to both forests and playgrounds, and children are regularly offered exploration outside the yard. The preschool consists of two departments, Vargavrån and Lejonkulan, with children aged 1–5 years. We work in large teams, and on each department, children are divided into smaller groups as much as possible throughout the day. Both preschool teachers and childcare workers with varying lengths of experience work at the preschool, all with a common focus on the child's best interests.

In the preschools in Kumla, there are development pedagogues who, together with the principal, drive the systematic quality work forward. A support team with special educators, a curator, pedagogical supervisors, and ICT pedagogues is connected to the preschools. All teams are offered guidance from the support team on various issues throughout the year.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In your role as a preschool teacher, you are responsible for ensuring that the teaching is conducted in accordance with the goals of the curriculum using the learning platform Infomentor. You create, together with the team, an education that is tailored to both the individual child and the needs of the group. This means that we regularly have discussions about our working methods and the design of our learning environments. Furthermore, you are responsible for documenting, following up, and evaluating the operations. As a preschool teacher, you are also responsible for conducting development discussions and involving guardians in the operations.

We have scheduled reflection time both in groups and individually, based on our systematic quality work. At the preschool, professional development and collegial learning take place in network groups with common themes where you contribute to the discussion through engagement and preparation.

The position is located in one of our departments with the possibility of a development pedagogue assignment, which means being part of the preschool's management team and closely collaborating with the principal to develop and drive the operations forward.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying are a licensed preschool teacher or have an alternative degree that qualifies for a license.

You are engaged and driven in your pedagogical mission and have good knowledge of children's development and learning, as well as the ability to translate that knowledge into daily work. You are positive, can think innovatively, and are solution-focused. You can work independently and in teams, prioritize children, and have the ability to be present with them. You find it important to create trusting relationships and want to collaborate with children, parents, and colleagues.

You can plan, implement, document, and reflect on teaching and education in preschool based on our governing documents and the children we have in the group. We would like you to have an interest in developing our working methods in large teams.
