Textile Crafts Teacher at Dylta Schools

About the Position

You will work as a teacher in textile crafts at our two schools, Ervalla and Ölmbrotorp, where you will spend one day at one school and one day at the other; Ervalla on Tuesdays and Ölmbrotorp on Thursdays. You will work alongside the wood and metal crafts teacher. You will be part of the work teams at the schools where you are expected to contribute to the development of the teams by actively participating in conferences and the groups' professional development.

Examples of Responsibilities:

plan, implement, and evaluate teaching in the subjects you are responsible for
use methods and approaches that lead to the best possible achievement of goals
provide mentorship/perform class teacher duties
work together with the work team and other staff at the school

About the Workplace

Located 16-20 km outside central Örebro, with a beautiful, nature-close location, are Ervalla and Ölmbrotorp schools that form Dylta Schools. Approximately 100 students attend each school, divided from preschool to grade 6. The schools have a common principal and close collaboration in several areas.

Qualifications

As a teacher, it is important that you have good collaboration skills where you listen and communicate and contribute to a calm and safe school environment. You have a good understanding of how people absorb knowledge and the different conditions of individuals. You easily adapt to changing circumstances and see opportunities in changes. Furthermore, you can communicate clearly and ensure that messages are conveyed. You are also outgoing, create contacts, and maintain relationships. We place great importance on personal suitability.

Requirements:

teaching certification with authorization to teach textile crafts for grades 3-6, or an equivalent qualification that entitles you to certification

Meritorious:

experience in teaching textile crafts
experience working in schools

Scope and Start Date

Employment type: permanent position

Employment rate: 40% (20% at each school)

Start date: by agreement
