Preschool Teacher to Törsjö Preschool in Mosås

About the Position

We are seeking a preschool teacher for Törsjö Preschool who is interested in driving and developing the preschool's project-based and reflective work together with children and colleagues. We have a clear organization for reflection and planning. Our vision is that children and adults at our preschool should have the opportunity to develop in an environment where exploration, curiosity, meaningfulness, imagination, joy, and community are always present. A working method with a strong emphasis on language and communication. The opportunity to express oneself in many different ways, such as through images, dance, music, creativity, and clay, gives all children access to a rich language and a deeper understanding. The creative language, the so-called 'Hundred Languages', is of great importance.

Examples of Responsibilities:

• be responsible for leading, organizing, planning, implementing, and developing teaching
• work to ensure that each child and the group receives safe care, their needs are met, and a learning environment for development, play, and learning
• use methods and approaches in education that are based on scientific principles and proven experience
• regularly reflect on your own working methods and work for a stimulating and learning indoor and outdoor environment
• be responsible for the content and implementation of development conversations
• ensure that education is documented, followed up, analyzed, and evaluated

About the Workplace

Törsjö Preschool was completed in August 2022 and consists of five departments and a kitchen with its own chef. The preschool is located in Mosås, about 10 km south of Örebro along the old road to Kumla. The area consists of mixed housing where most forms of residence are represented, with single-family homes being the dominant feature.

Qualifications

As a person, you are secure, responsible, and driven. You have good knowledge of children's development and learning and the ability to translate that knowledge into daily work. It is important that you can think innovatively, are creative, and solution-focused. You have the children in focus and are present and engaged in interactions with them. The work as a preschool teacher involves close collaboration with colleagues, which requires you to be attentive and have good teamwork skills. It is important to create a trusting and close collaboration with guardians, which means you need to have good communication skills.

Furthermore, you need to master the Swedish language in a way that allows you to communicate with children, relatives, and other staff, as well as document what the operation requires in writing. Since the work involves digital documentation, good computer skills are also required.

Requirements

• licensed preschool teacher, or hold a qualification that entitles you to a license

Meritorious

• experience with digital tools in preschool
• education/experience in ICDP (Guided Interaction)
• VFU supervisor training
• experience working with children in need of special support
• experience with TAKK and visual support
• knowledge/experience in pedagogical documentation

Preschool teacher license must be attached to the application along with a list of qualifications, or alternatively, a diploma that entitles you to a license.
