Do you want to be a key player in Sweden's energy transition?
In this role, you will lead an operationally critical function within the Operations department and contribute directly to maintaining and developing the country's electricity supply. You will drive change initiatives, strengthen operational capabilities, and represent the unit in important internal and external collaborations.
About the position
We are looking for one of two managers who will jointly lead the Southern Network Operations unit within the newly established Network Operations section. The unit has been established previously but is now being expanded with shared management to ensure sustainable and close leadership. The section consists of Southern Network Operations, Northern Network Operations, Operations Planning, and Network Development. You will report to the section manager and play a central role in developing the section's overall delivery.
The Southern Network Operations unit staffs one of the operational functions in the national control room and is responsible for personnel safety in the transmission network through monitoring, voltage regulation, and connections in collaboration with field personnel. The work is carried out in close cooperation with Northern Network Operations and other operational functions. The unit has 21 control room operators and is led by two managers with shared responsibility for personnel, budget, and working environment. The role also includes electrical safety delegation. The unit also participates in process development in areas such as voltage, monitoring, and connections, in collaboration with internal and external actors such as regional networks, production companies, and TSOs.
Your main responsibilities:
- Ensure staffing of the Network Operations function through shifts, on-call duty, and standby.
- Lead and develop employees and operations, including setting requirements for other parts of the organization.
- Lead and distribute daily work together with your managerial colleague.
- Actively participate in the section's management team and contribute to operational and strategic decisions.
- Develop collaboration with internal functions and external actors.
- Participate in work and steering groups to drive development in the area.
- Process ownership for one of the section's main processes.
- In the long term, be part of the operational crisis management organization.
About you
Requirements:
We are looking for a confident and action-oriented leader who motivates and creates engagement in an operationally important environment. You coach and develop employees through feedback and presence, and you take responsibility for both your own and the team's deliveries. You have the ability to make well-founded decisions even in complex situations and demonstrate perseverance when conditions change. Collaboration comes naturally to you, and you build good relationships with both internal and external parties. You see change as an opportunity and can inspire others to contribute to improvement and development.
We place great importance on your personal qualities.
