The IT organization within Praktikertjänst is in the midst of an exciting development journey focusing on e-health services and modernization of platforms. This initiative means that Praktikertjänst is moving to the cloud and introducing new, innovative technologies that employees have the opportunity to learn and use.

Job Responsibilities

The role of Data Engineer is a key position in the work of developing integrations and custom frameworks for data loading and testing. The frameworks are based on Python and SQL, making deep expertise in these languages crucial. A central goal is to automate as much of the solution as possible. The work involves ingesting individual-based data from sources such as journal systems, configuring them from start to finished solution, modeling data, and creating Power BI reports.

Since the team is small, the role is broad and also includes requirements gathering, needs analysis, system architecture, and data modeling. The work takes place in strategically important projects with a focus on the Azure environment, in line with the company's strategy to soon have the entire IT environment in the cloud. The role is varied and offers great opportunities for development and broadening of skills.

Education, Experience, and Personal Qualities

• Solid technical expertise in Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing

• Good knowledge of Python and SQL

• Very good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

It is advantageous if you have experience in:

• ELT and orchestration with tools such as Azure Data Factory, Airflow, or similar

• Data modeling, preferably according to Data Vault and Kimball

• Data processing with PySpark

• Power BI and programming in DAX

• CI/CD and work in Azure DevOps

You have a strong focus on deliveries and enjoy taking responsibility for driving issues all the way to completion. The role requires you to be independent and proactive, while also being responsive to the needs of the business and able to balance between being visionary and operational.

You have a genuine drive to develop and are happy to share your knowledge with others. Problem-solving motivates you, and you have an analytical and meticulous approach, combined with a pragmatic attitude when needed.
