Introduction We are now looking for an experienced and enthusiastic survey engineer to join the Geographic Information East team based in Stockholm. We deliver and develop services based on our knowledge of geographically linked information. Through various data capture methods such as traditional surveying, laser scanning, and photogrammetry, along with data processing and refinement, we produce world-class precision data.

The team belongs to the Stockholm Department of Societal Design, and with WSP's presence in most markets both locally and globally, we meet customer demand for surveying technology across various disciplines.

Responsibilities You will work on a variety of assignments related to housing, commercial facilities, industry, and infrastructure. The scope of assignments varies but usually consists of data capture, post-calculation, and further processing. Tasks include a mix of editing, calculations, control networks, drone photography, laser scanning, and data processing, with fieldwork and travel also involved. As a consultant, you will always work with the customer's needs in focus, and the role also involves acting as an advisor on surveying technical issues within assignments and directly with clients, e.g., in the form of technical responsibility or assignment responsibility depending on your role in the assignments. As a senior employee, business acumen, technology development, problem-solving skills, and a strong drive that contributes strategically are also valued.

Qualifications  We believe you have a post-secondary education in a relevant field and have worked for several years with varied tasks within geographic information or geodesy, preferably from consulting and with a focus on infrastructure. Good knowledge of the fundamentals of surveying technology such as detail surveying and control networks from various environments is a prerequisite. We see that you can express yourself well in Swedish both verbally and in writing and can communicate technical requirements and specifications in an easily understandable way. Finally, a valid driver's license (B) is required.

Desirable experiences:

• Traffic authority certification for surveying, type 1 or 2.

• University education in a relevant field

• Specialist knowledge in areas such as Control Networks, Tunnel or Railway Surveying, etc.

• Reality capture using various methods, e.g., laser scanning, SLAM, UAV, etc.

In addition to the basic requirements for the role, we place great importance on personality traits to ensure a good fit in the role. Therefore, we are looking for someone with a strong interest in the field and a positive, driven, and social attitude. The role will involve regular contact with our clients, making the relationship-building/consultative aspect very important.
