Vattenfall Eldistribution is now looking for two summer interns to work as assistant network analysts. In this role, you will be tasked with calculating and updating electrical data in our data systems. You will work in the Asset Management unit, which manages our facilities and electricity grid. Furthermore, you will be part of the Local Network Analysis group, which is responsible for the sizing of the electricity grid.
In the new energy landscape, we are beginning to see outlines of more solar panels, infrastructure for rechargeable electric vehicles, wind power, data centers, and population density in growth areas. This affects long-term grid planning and how we will build the grid going forward. Through this summer job, you will have the opportunity to gain further insight into the field.
Requirements
Your background:
- You are currently studying to become a civil engineer at KTH or Uppsala University, preferably with a focus on electrical power.
- You have fluent skills in Swedish, both spoken and written. English is a plus.
- Previous work experience at a grid company is an advantage.
As a person, you are responsible and structured with the ability to independently drive your work forward. The role may involve contact points with people from different groups, so we expect you to enjoy collaboration and communicate with others in a responsive manner. You have a strong work ethic, are resilient in the face of challenges, and work purposefully towards set goals. Furthermore, you have good numerical understanding and the ability to assess the reasonableness of results and identify when adjustments need to be made.
