Your Role

As a test engineer at Saab, you will work with world-class high-tech products. You will conduct production tests to ensure the quality of Saab's self-manufactured products and test equipment. The role involves broad contact areas where you are responsible for initiating contact with design and support departments when problems arise.

Responsibilities within your area as a Test Engineer include:

• Function tests of electronics, including circuit boards, waveguides, and microwave modules.
• Troubleshooting down to component level using advanced instruments and equipment.
• Maintenance of test equipment and responsibility for test stations.
• Administer test results and report errors, as well as conduct analyses, assessments, and actions.
• Work on efficiency and improvements.
• Contribute to the development of new working methods and draft and revise standard procedures within your area of work.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with a strong interest in technology and preferably a background in production. You need to be structured and able to adhere to routines and processes. As a person, you are methodical and calm in your approach, and have good collaboration skills as the work is done both independently and in teams. We would like you to be a problem solver with the ability to think creatively as you will work in a dynamic environment with complex challenges and products.

We would like you to have the following qualifications:

• Experience in testing, preferably with electronic products
• Education as a university engineer with a focus on electronics
• Knowledge of reading drawings and schematics
• Good ability to read, speak, and write in both Swedish and English

It is an advantage to have knowledge of software programming.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in certain cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
