Vattenfall Eldistribution is now looking for a Connection Engineer who will be part of supporting the connection operations.
The unit's mission is to ensure the company's connection obligation towards local grid customers by managing customer-initiated grid connections for both private and business customers. The work will provide insight into the entire process from customer dialogue and project planning to quote and contract preparation, follow-up of contractors, and administrative closure of cases. Together with other units and external actors, we collaborate to develop an efficient and customer-oriented case management.
As a connection engineer, your tasks will include:
- Working with customer-initiated grid connections (16-250A) and contributing to customer benefits in a knowledgeable, welcoming, and inclusive team.
- Managing and supporting our connection cases. This includes, among other things: customer and installer dialogue, project planning, grid calculations, orders, and contact with contractors.
- Coordinating and technically reviewing incoming customer inquiries and preparing cases before they reach the connection engineers.
- Contributing to the work of reviewing and updating routines and governing documents.
Through this summer job, you will gain insight into Vattenfall Eldistribution as a company, the connection operations, and the role of a connection engineer. You will get to apply theoretical knowledge from school to actual and practical work tasks that benefit customers. Furthermore, you will have contact with customers, contractors, installers, and colleagues, which is valuable experience for future roles in the industry.
Requirements
Your background:
- You are currently studying at a university, preferably in electrical power or energy and environment.
- You have fluent skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Previous experience in the electrical industry is an advantage.
- Previous experience with customer contact in some type of service job is an advantage.
- We prefer that you have an interest in technology and sustainability.
We are looking for someone who is confident and responsible with a good work ethic who remains calm even in pressured situations. You enjoy collaborating with others and can communicate in a responsive and accommodating manner, both with colleagues and customers. Furthermore, we see that you are structured and have good prioritization skills to ensure that you perform your tasks with high quality within deadlines.
