Here in the Department of Urban Development in Sundbyberg, you will become an important cog in the city's geodata operations. Sundbyberg is expanding and developing rapidly, and as a GIS engineer, you will be the spider in the web connecting the various urban development processes. We currently have a modern GIS platform with great potential for developing our operations. We strive to be at the forefront of GIS and geodata and actively work to become a smart city focused on real-time data and modern technologies. With the help of mobile laser scanning, we create detailed and up-to-date data, and we have introduced a drone operation to further enhance our insights and data-driven decisions.

About the Role

As a GIS engineer with us, you will:

Implement, develop, and integrate the use of FME within the municipality.
Document and streamline FME routines.
Work with GIS data management, analysis, and automation.
Be responsible for data import/export and the production of digital and analog maps.
Manage and develop our databases in the ArcGIS/Enterprise environment.
Configure web maps and manage our internal and external mapping services.
Support various departments and companies within the municipality with innovative GIS solutions and various developments.

We are looking for someone who:

Has good experience with FME Form/Flow and GIS software.
Has experience working with a municipal GIS platform.
Has a relevant university degree in GIS or equivalent.
Is communicative and has excellent knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
Is experienced in leading projects and conducting meetings.
Has experience with ArcGIS, programming, or IT solutions (meriting).
