Job Advertisement: Conducting the University Entrance Exam at Mid Sweden University
The Department of Study Administration works with both regulatory issues and study-related services for students, prospective students, and university staff. The department encompasses many areas of operation; the university entrance exam, admissions, scheduling, study documentation, exam coordination, credit transfers, degree issuance, and support and development for some of the university's necessary support systems within educational administration.
About the University Entrance Exam
Mid Sweden University has been commissioned by the Swedish Council for Higher Education to conduct the university entrance exam in Jämtland/Västernorrland.
The university entrance exam measures knowledge and skills that are important for the ability to succeed in higher education. The exam is conducted two days a year – one Saturday in the spring and one Sunday in the fall. We now need more staff for these two days.
Job Responsibilities
The conduct of the university entrance exam is organized and carried out with the help of various positions. At Mid Sweden University, there are two permanently employed exam coordinators. In addition, assignments are given before each exam day. You who apply for this job should be willing to work in all of the following positions: exam leader, assistant, and materials coordinator. Several reserves are also hired to be able to take one of the mentioned positions on the exam day at short notice.
The exam leader is the one who leads the exam, and depending on the number of participants in the room, there may be assistants and, in some cases, materials coordinators who support the implementation. During the exam day, several identity checks are conducted, and the exam leader gives instructions to the candidates on how the exam will proceed. Both the exam leader and assistants distribute and collect exam materials from the candidates, and during the writing time, they supervise and check for the use of unauthorized aids. The assignment includes patrolling the room and being prepared to intervene in case of suspected rule violations. We use both our own facilities and external venues. The working hours on the exam day are approximately from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and somewhat longer for certain positions.
If you are offered to work on the exam day, you will need to familiarize yourself with the rules and procedures outlined in the exam handbook, and you must complete and pass a mandatory online training course lasting approximately 1 hour.

Due to the regulatory nature of the work, it is required that you are at least 18 years old to work.
