We are looking for an engaged and structured election officer who wants to work strategically and operationally in the election year 2026, in close collaboration with the ombudsman, election leader, and district board.

About the position

As an election officer, you will have a clear focus on planning, coordinating, and implementing the district's election work. The assignment is time-limited and aimed at the most intense part of the election campaign. You will work closely with the district's ombudsman, election leader, and district board, and act as operational support in the implementation of election strategy, campaigns, and activities.

The role involves both independent work and collaboration with elected representatives, party departments, and party activists. The election officer plays a central role in ensuring structure, pace, and coordination in the election campaign.

We place great emphasis on personal qualities such as responsibility, ability to collaborate, and the ability to work solution-oriented in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility is important as the work will partly be performed at inconvenient times, with an unpredictable schedule.

Examples of tasks

  • Operational coordination and implementation of the district's election work and campaigns
  • Support to the ombudsman, election leader, and district board in election-related matters
  • Planning and coordination of election activities, campaign days, and outreach efforts
  • Motivating election workers and carrying out activities related to the election
  • Contact and support to party departments in their local election work
  • Participation in planning and follow-up of election strategy
  • Administrative and organizational support related to the implementation of the election campaign
  • Coordination with the national organization on election-related matters

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in coordination, planning, or operational project work
  • Is structured and enjoys working independently towards clear goals
  • Has a good ability to express oneself well in speech and writing in Swedish
  • Has the ability to travel throughout the county
  • Can work both strategically and practically

Desirable experiences

  • Experience in political, voluntary, or organizational work
  • Previous work in election campaigns or campaign organizations
  • Experience collaborating with elected representatives and volunteers

Conditions

The position covers 25 % and is valid from April 1 to September 30.

Placement is at the Christian Democrats' office in Östersund, with the possibility of remote work. Work in the evenings and weekends occurs in connection with campaigns and activities.

Travel within the county is a natural part of the assignment.

Two references will be requested. Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.

If you have questions about the position, please contact Daniel Wikberg at: 070-6418060
