Do you want to contribute to the political work of the Christian Democrats in the Region of Jämtland Härjedalen? We are now looking for a political secretary for our regional group.

The position has a scope of 30% and runs until 2026-12-31. The position gives you a central role in the political everyday life where you support elected officials and help drive the party's politics and communication forward.

As a political secretary, you will work broadly with strategy, coordination, and operational support for the district's political work. You will also contribute to supporting our regional politicians with materials and political issues. You will become an important link between the district board, elected officials, and members, as well as contribute to developing the party's organizational and communicative conditions.

Job responsibilities

Examples of job responsibilities:

• Provide ongoing support to elected officials in political work
• Prepare factual and decision-making materials for political decisions, meetings, and presentations
• Communicate and coordinate internally and externally on political issues
• Assist in the development of texts, debate articles, materials, and communication to members and the public
• Coordinate activities, events, and district/region-related efforts
• Participate in electoral strategy and political planning work

Qualifications

• Have a strong interest in politics and social issues
• Are structured, proactive, and enjoy varied tasks
• Have a very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing
• Can work independently as well as in a team
• Have the ability to travel throughout the county
• Are able to work irregular hours
• Are currently studying or have completed education relevant to the position

Desirable

• Experience in political and/or voluntary work
• Experience in communication, text production, or social media
• Previous experience as a political secretary or similar role

Salary and conditions

Salary is based on the region's regulations for political secretaries.

The position needs to be filled without delay.

The position is part-time, located at the Region's house in Östersund, with some remote work possible. Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
