Industry Manager for Berry, Fruit, and Vegetable Processing with a Focus on Craft Beverages

The County Administrative Board's approximately 300 employees work as the government's representative at the regional level. Eldrimner is one of the County Administrative Board's seven units and has been Sweden's national resource center for food craftsmanship and small-scale food production since 2005. Here, we work to convey, develop, and preserve knowledge about food craftsmanship. We support new and established entrepreneurs through courses, training, advice, and development work. Eldrimner collaborates with relevant authorities and other stakeholders to facilitate the work of food artisans. Our team consists of experts in various areas of food craftsmanship who are eager to share their knowledge.

Description

Do you want to help develop the future of Swedish food craftsmanship? Do you have a particular passion for processing berries, fruits, vegetables, and beverages? Eldrimner is now looking for an industry manager who wants to drive development in this area – with a specific focus on beverages.

As an industry manager, you will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and strengthening the industry in berry, fruit, and vegetable processing with a focus on beverages, such as cider, juice, wine, beer, kombucha, and other craft beverages. The role involves both strategic and operational work, and you will collaborate with producers, educators, industry organizations, and other stakeholders in food craftsmanship.

You will plan and conduct training, guidance, and industry activities, as well as contribute to knowledge dissemination and development projects nationally. Teaching may also be part of your responsibilities.

The work will primarily take place at Eldrimner's facilities in Ås outside Östersund, but travel within the country may occur.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and develop the industry area of berry, fruit, and vegetable processing with a focus on beverages
  • Plan and conduct courses, webinars, seminars, and industry meetings
  • Initiate and lead development projects
  • Monitor trends and communicate within beverages and food craftsmanship
  • Collaborate with producers and other industry stakeholders
  • Contribute to Eldrimner's product competition SM in Food Craftsmanship and other events
  • Assist in simplifying processes for companies, such as handling referrals and maintaining contact with authorities
  • Maintain and care for Eldrimner's production equipment and processing facilities
  • Have a holistic view of the industry and identify opportunities for growth and innovation

Qualifications

  • University education of at least 180 credits in a relevant field for the position, such as: food technology, meal knowledge, beverage knowledge, sensory analysis, business administration, organization, and leadership
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience in teaching and mentoring
  • Entrepreneurship in or experience from food craftsmanship
  • Driver's license (B)

Meritorious

  • Experience with product assessment, projects in food, practical experience in food production
  • Experience serving on a jury during the SM in Food Craftsmanship
  • Previous collaboration with Eldrimner
  • Network within the beverage industry
