Are you a trained care assistant or support assistant and do you enjoy working nights? Then you might be the one we are looking for at our group home in central Kungsbacka.

The role of support assistant with us

When you work nights at Apotekarängen's group home, you become an important part of the team, where your mission is to create safety and continuity during the night. You also support during evening routines to contribute to a calm and secure transition into the night. At the end of your shift, you also assist with morning routines to provide a smooth and secure start to the day. Through attentive, professional, and respectful interactions, you help the residents feel safe and involved. You work based on a low-arousal approach, use alternative communication methods (AAC), and apply clarifying pedagogy.

Your profile

As a person, you are accommodating in your interactions and attentive to your surroundings. You create new contacts as well as maintain your current work relationships. You take responsibility and drive your work forward, delivering results while prioritizing your tasks effectively. You see opportunities in changes, take initiatives, and come up with new approaches to work-related issues. You express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written, as this is required in daily work. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who has:

• a relevant education for the target group
• work experience with alternative and augmentative communication (AAC)
• work experience with low-arousal interactions
• work experience from the target group

It is an advantage if you have:

• experience with the Medvind system
• experience using patient lifts, feeding tubes, catheter flushing, and PEP, Bilevel
• are a trained care assistant

We are centrally located by Signeshus within walking distance to the station and Kungsmässan, and there are also bus connections right outside.

At Apotekarängen, we continuously develop our work together with the tenants to create a wonderful community and a home for all residents. We constantly work to maintain the abilities that the tenants have and highly value their own opinions. At Apotekarängen, there are eight apartments for individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, or autism-like conditions. The work involves providing our tenants with support in all aspects of daily life.

Our offer and additional information

We offer a permanent full-time position with a start date according to agreement. You will work nights on weekdays and weekends.

Within the Department of Individual & Family Care, all employees in Housing with Special Services and Home Support are employed full-time but have the opportunity to reduce their desired working hours based on the needs of the organization.
