We are looking for a caring and committed teaching assistant (50%) to Noblaskolan in Löddeköpinge

About the position

We are now looking for a teaching assistant for a student who needs extra support to have a safe and functional school experience. The student has type 1 diabetes, which requires constant supervision and management of technical aids, as well as support related to significant school difficulties.

Your role is to be the student's extended arm and security during the school day. You help navigate social interactions, structure schoolwork, and are responsible for keeping blood sugar levels stable so that learning can be the focus.

Your main responsibilities:

• Medical supervision: Monitoring blood sugar levels, administering insulin, and carbohydrate counting.
• Educational support: Adapting school assignments and environment according to the student's specific needs.
• Social support: Assisting the student in break activities and during transitions between lessons.
• Collaboration: Maintaining close and good communication with both teachers and guardians.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, we see that you:

• Have experience with type 1 diabetes: You are comfortable with CGM (continuous glucose monitoring) and insulin pump/pen.
• Have experience with NPF: You have knowledge of and practical experience working with diagnoses such as ADHD or autism.
• Are low-arousal: You have a calm demeanor and can handle challenging situations with patience.
• Are responsible: You are extremely meticulous and can make independent decisions when the situation requires it.

• Employment type: Fixed-term employment (part-time, 50%)
