Social Worker in the Follow-up Group

Tierp is a municipality with an organization of the right size for those who want close contact with managers, colleagues, politics, and clients. Here, there is room for both personal development and collaboration within the organization.

Our municipality offers diverse living environments, coastal nature, history, culture, and good service. Tierp is within commuting distance of Stockholm, Uppsala, and Gävle and also offers the possibility to work partially remotely.

Our values are important, and together we work to realize our core values: respect, responsibility, customer focus, courage, and belief in the future.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a social worker in the follow-up group, you work in various ways to ensure that all children in the municipality are well and grow up under safe conditions. You do this, among other things, by ensuring that interventions within social services are of good quality. This is done through regular follow-ups of interventions together with children, guardians, and the service provider.

In your role as a follow-up worker with us, you will follow up on both outpatient interventions and placements in, for example, foster homes and HVB (special residential homes), targeting the age group 0-21 years and their families. The follow-up is an ongoing process that both the social committee and the service provider must document continuously. It provides a basis for considerations and reassessments of care.

The follow-up aims to ensure that the child is doing well and receives the right help. The goals formulated in the child's care plan and implementation plan are important starting points when social services follow up on care. During follow-up, new needs can be identified, and any adverse conditions in the home where the child resides can be highlighted. The work is conducted according to BBIC (Children's Needs in Focus).

The work consists, in addition to follow-up, of planning, collaboration, case management, documentation, decision-making, and other authority exercises, as well as some investigation. Our work climate is permissive with high ceilings, and the atmosphere is relaxed and informal with much laughter. We believe that engagement is born through encouragement and trust. Therefore, we strive for a creative work environment with motivated employees who contribute to both dynamics and development. For us, collegial belonging and support are important, where you work for a respectful and pleasant work climate.

We want to move forward, and individual initiatives are encouraged here. It is also important that our employees can maintain a good balance in life between private and work life.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a social worker and want to contribute to good meetings with children and young people and their families. Experience in authority work, good knowledge of BBIC and Signs of Safety, in-depth knowledge of the Social Services Act, and good documentation skills are meritorious. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

To thrive with us and in the work, you are curious, have an easy time building relationships, and have an interest in people. You are structured and enjoy collaborating, but also have the ability to work independently. You have knowledge of children's needs and are passionate about contributing to good and qualitative work. Travel and home visits are part of the job, so you need to have a B driver's license for a manual car.

OTHER

We strive for diversity where our employees' backgrounds, experiences, knowledge, and personalities enrich the municipality.

We kindly decline offers of advertising and recruitment assistance.
