JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Family home secretaries make a difference for children and families. We at the Family Home Unit Support are facing an exciting development phase and now want to strengthen our operations further. Therefore, we are looking for a new employee who shares our commitment and conviction that every child has the right to a safe, stable, and meaningful upbringing. Together, we want to build a strong and competent team characterized by warmth, professionalism, and a shared desire to make a real difference for children and families placed in family homes.

Our driving force is that every child and young person should grow up in a safe and loving environment.

Your tasks include:

• Providing support, guidance, and advice to family homes
• Conducting training initiatives for family homes
• Being responsible for the financial matters and agreements of family homes/SFV
• Engaging in conversations and following up with family homes in various life situations
• Working in a team based on BBIC together with family home secretaries, child secretaries, and Skolfam
• Working with SFV, Special appointed guardians

The position involves both shorter and longer trips several times a month. Our workplace is centrally located in Gävle with good bus connections. The unit consists of twelve employees with broad competence in family home care and Skolfam. As a final candidate, you need to provide an extract from the Police's criminal record for work within schools or preschools.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a confident and secure social worker who wants to work with family home care. You enjoy having a wide network where you and your colleagues work based on a common approach for safe and secure family home care. We work in teams based on BBIC (children's needs in focus) and you will be part of an important and valuable team.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a qualified social worker
• Has a B driver's license and driving experience

Meritorious:

• Experience working with children and young people
• Experience in family home care
• Documentation experience, preferably in Treserva

To succeed in the role, you are:

• Structured and goal-oriented, plans and organizes your work well, follows up on tasks and meets deadlines
• Confident, feels secure in uncertain situations, distinguishes between issues and people
• Relationship-building, takes initiative in social contexts and easily establishes trusting relationships
• Collaborative, works selflessly, adapts to the situation, and focuses on common goals

We offer you meaningful and developing work with independent professional responsibility. As a new employee, you will receive an introduction with a mentor and external supervision, as well as internal support and close, unpretentious teamwork.

The position is a permanent employment. You will start your employment by working for a year in the Family Home Unit Support, covering for an employee on parental leave. After this period, you will have your permanent employment in one of our family home departments where there is a vacant position.

Interviews will take place during week 12.
