Security Coordinator at the Culture Administration

The Culture Administration works for a broad art and cultural life for everyone to participate in. We strive for a sustainable and open city that places culture and art at the center.

The Culture Administration has approximately 800 employees who primarily work within libraries, cultural centers, museums, and other cultural activities.

Job Responsibilities

As a security coordinator, you will be part of the staff unit, which is part of the Department of Economy, Planning, and Analysis.

The unit consists of administrative functions with specific areas of expertise. The work is based on a holistic perspective with responsibility for securing the Culture Administration's processes regarding political decision-making, planning, monitoring, analysis, archiving, and registration as well as property, security, and environment. The security function includes a security strategist, an information security coordinator, and you as the security coordinator.

As a security coordinator, you participate in the administration's overall work in the security area. The work is based on the goals of the municipal council, the city's common development, the administration's ambitions, and the needs of the operations.

The role has a particular focus on creating safe environments for the implementation of our various activities with fire protection, physical security, personal safety, and safety and crime prevention work. In the areas of fire and physical security, you are responsible for planning, coordinating, setting requirements, and following up on the administration's security work and efforts. In the area of safety and crime prevention, you plan, drive, and coordinate the administration's work in close dialogue with the operations. You plan, conduct, and follow up on training and exercises and monitor applicable legislation and guidelines, supporting the operations in applying these.

In this role, you collaborate with other employees both within the administration and the city at large, who have specific assignments in security and participate in relevant networks. You work proactively to prevent security incidents and contribute to creating a safe and secure operation. In the operations, there are local support functions that work operationally and in close collaboration with you and the central security function.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, we see that you have a post-secondary education in areas such as preparedness, risk and security work, civil protection, or other education deemed suitable by the employer, as well as experience in security work in a similar role, preferably within the public sector. You have experience in developing policy documents, routines, and plans in the security area and have good knowledge of applicable legislation.

For the position, you need to have knowledge of and understanding of society's crisis preparedness, essential societal functions, and civil defense, as well as an understanding of information security and/or security protection. Furthermore, it is advantageous if you also have the ability to apply established classification structures in handling information and documentation, as well as good knowledge of the principle of public access and its application in public operations.

You are meticulous and structured, with the ability to plan, follow up, and develop security work in a systematic way. You have a collaborative and attentive approach and enjoy working together with different functions, professions, and operations. You are pedagogical and communicative, with a good ability to explain security issues, routines, and requirements clearly and understandably, as well as adapting the message to different target groups.

We also see that you have a good understanding of security work in a larger organization and can work both strategically and operationally. You have the ability to coordinate, drive joint processes, and create engagement within the security area. You can balance the demands placed on you, and you are calm and secure in pressured and difficult situations.
